Tentuta di Fiorano

Val d'Orcia

Tenuta di Fiorano is a historic estate just outside Rome, set between the Appian Way and the Alban Hills on volcanic soils that give its wines depth and elegance. Its unique terroir and cooling breezes have long made it ideal for high-quality viticulture.

The estate rose to prominence in the mid-1900s under Prince Alberico Boncompagni Ludovisi, a pioneer of organic farming and unconventional grape choices like Cabernet Sauvignon and Malvasia. Known for his mystery, Alberico famously uprooted nearly all his vineyards in 1998 without explanation. In his later years, he handed management to his cousin Paolo and Paolo’s son Alessandro‑jacopo, who, guided by Alberico from Rome, revived the estate with biodynamic practices while preserving its original spirit and legacy.
