Pagliarese
Berardenga, Chianti Classico
The Pagliaresi family first rose to prominence in 13th-century Siena, serving as influential Ghibelline magistrates before settling in the countryside of Berardenga, in an area still known as Pagliarese. By the 1970s, the estate had become a respected name in Chianti Classico, thanks in part to Sangiovese master Giulio Gambelli. Production ceased in the 1980s, and in 1995 the Poggiali family acquired the property with the aim of restoring its legacy.
After years of vineyard renewal and careful replanting, Pagliarese was revived with the 2015 harvest. Today, it stands as a symbol of classic Chianti reborn—respecting its historic roots while embracing a new era of craftsmanship and expression under the guidance of the Poggiali family.

Chianti Classico
The 2022 Pagliarese Chianti Classico shows an intense ruby red colour and a fragrant nose of wild berries, spice, and earthy minerality. Warm and elegant on the palate, it offers fine-grained tannins and a balanced, lingering finish that mirrors its aromatic complexity.
