Fèlsina

Castelnuova Berardenga, Siena

Located on the southeast edge of Chianti Classico, Fèlsina’s 600-hectare estate includes 95 hectares of vineyards spread across varied soils and microclimates. This "frontier land," between Chianti Classico and Crete Senesi, is shaped by diverse landscapes and climates, giving Fèlsina’s wines their unique character.

In 1966, Domenico Poggiali bought the Fèlsina estate at a time when Italian viticulture was struggling. He invested in quality and built a young, passionate team. Over the years, Fèlsina grew to over 40 hectares, blending modern techniques with traditional values. In the late 1970s, Giuseppe Mazzocolin joined the family business, focusing on commercial development, while partnerships with figures like Luigi Veronelli and oenologist Franco Bernabei guided the winery’s rise. By the 1990s, Giovanni Poggiali also became involved, continuing the winery’s legacy.

Brut Spumante Rosé

$56.00 per bottle | case of 6

The wine appears a lovely antique rose with onion skin coppery highlights, enhanced by very leisurely bead of pin point bubbles. The bouquet is delicate and ultra-fragrant, releasing nuances of wild berry fruit, citrus, and rose petals. The palate, stylish and well balanced, gradually reveals a refreshing acidity, and concludes with a finish marked by redcurrant, sweet almond, and wild berryfruit.

I Sistri Chardonnay

2022 | $42.00 per bottle | case of 6

"Rich and waxy nose with notes of cooked peaches, dried pineapple, beeswax and caramel. Full-bodied, broad, succulent and nicely filled with tropical fruit and a lot of nutty and spicy nuances. Deep, intense and characterful, with a lingering finish."

- James Suckling

I Sistri Chardonnay Collezione Privata

2019 | $72.00 per bottle | case of 6

"The Fèlsina 2019 Chardonnay I Sistri Collezione Privata is a medium-bodied wine with lots of fruit, preserved lemon, apricot, saffron spice and a pinch of cumin or cinnamon. The wine shows a creamy texture with long, soft fruit flavours that should carry this wine beyond the 10-year mark." - Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico Berardenga

2022 | $42.00 per bottle | case of 6

“The 2022 Chianti Classico Berardenga is boisterous and expressive right out of the glass. Dark fruit, earthiness, leather, spice and tobacco convey tons of Castelnuovo Berardenga character. The 2022 keeps getting better in the glass.” - Wine Advocate, 92 points

Chianti Classico Riserva

2020 | $64.00 per bottle | case of 6

"A solidly built red introduced by aromas of mint, lavender and wild rosemary. Shows cherry, raspberry, earth, iron, sanguine and tobacco flavours allied to an almost viscous texture as this cruises to the long finish. Impressive now, yet even more impressive with age.” - Wine Advocate, 94 points

Chianti Classico Riserva ‘Rancia

2020 | $89.00 per bottle | case of 6

"The Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia 2020 shows a beautiful minerality with dusty notes of crushed limestone or flint. This is the wine's special signature, which comes into its own particularly well in a warm vintage like this one. The Rancia also offers a superficial quality with red and violet fruit tones. The 2020 vintage shows lovely concentration and richness with wild cherry and plum, but ultimately the wine leaves an elegant mineral finish.” - Wine Advocate

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Colonia'

2018 | $165.00 per bottle | case of 3

“The 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is fascinating to taste next to the Rancia, as the two parcels are adjacent. Rich and substantial in the glass, Colonia is textured and ample, qualities that become increasingly apparent over time. Rugged, rocky terrain seems to amplify power, explosive verticality and acidity.” - Vinous, 97 points

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Colonia' - 1500 ml

2019 | $450.00 per 1500 ml bottle | singular

"The 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is a bit marked by oak today, but behind that lies a wine of striking purity, depth and freshness. Dark red-fleshed fruit, crushed rocks, white pepper, spice and blood orange are some of the notes that meld together. There's a beautiful, layered wine waiting to emerge here." - Vinous

Fontalloro

2020 | $109.00 per bottle | case of 6

"Very refined and complex nose with hints of pine cones, botanicals and dark mushrooms to savoury oranges, minerals, fine musk and plums. Juicy, dry but structured on the palate with stacks of dusty tannins developing on the savoury, full-bodied palate. Long and quite mineral on the finish. Better from 2025." - James Suckling

Maestro Raro

2020 | $99.00 per bottle | case of 6

“Unblushingly fresh nose with its spicy, peppery berries, olives and a savory twist of iron and metals. Full-bodied and fluid on the palate but it is also quite dialled back. Succulent, stripped down and vertically structured with fine austere tannins and a chalky finish. Lots of character here. Drink or hold.” - James Suckling, 94 points
