Domaine du Penlois
Lancié, Beaujolais
In 2022, the Besson family celebrated 100 years of winemaking, marking four generations of expertise passed down from father to son. Their deep-rooted knowledge and commitment to nature—carefully preserved over the decades—go beyond any certified agricultural practice.
Domaine du Penlois cultivates 30 hectares of vines across the diverse terroirs of Lancié, Villié-Morgon, Romanèche-Thorins, Chénas, La Chapelle-de-Guinchay, and Juliénas. The vineyards are planted on hillsides in narrow rows with a high vine density per hectare, promoting optimal quality and expression of each site.
